All of the Grade 7 classes will be visiting Sainte Marie Among the Huron on May 25.
The permission form was sent home April 3 and is due back April 30.
Parent volunteers very welcome!!
Student cost is $34.

Detective stories - " Énigmes policières"
2 detective stories serving us as models were: "Une tentative colorée" and " Sans paroles",
- plus the detective story "Aveu"
Please submit the activities based on the 2 stories by Friday (May 4), to begin creating your own suspensful and original detective story.

Le vol - short opinion and inferencing activity (character ed.)
Passive and active voice activity with five sentences created by each student
Reading comprehension activity - geography related " Katrina"

The written part of the research project on a Canadian province should be submitted to the teacher by now - deadline was April 20.

One copy went to the teacher, another was useful to the student to work on
the oral presentation.
The oral presentations have begun on April 30 and are almost over.

"Hänsel et Gretel" - we are now more familiar with the characters in the play.
Our class is divided into groups.
Our routine consists of:
- jigsaw activity:
1) practice in a base group (all characters meet together)
2) practice in a specific character groups. As a part of our practice we are recording our voices to determine our strenghts and areas of improvement.

Ratio - students have worked on activities relating to ratio.

Students were conducting a research on a Canadian province or territory of their choice.
There were 2 components to the project: writtten and oral.
The written part of the research project on a Canadian province should be completed and submitted to the teacher. It was due by April 20.

One copy goes to the teacher, another may be useful to the student to work on
the oral presentation.
The oral presentations will begin next week; the week of April 30. I gave students more time to prepare.

students are working on activities pertaining to the unit on " Constante humaine"  for chapter 2.... last activity is a creation of a collage and an explanation of the images selected for all 10 pictures.
 




Please encourage your child to read in French daily for at least 15 minutes simply for pleasure.
